Well Welcome everyone to the Journeying Jones’ Blog, sponsored by Kyle and Lorraine Jones.  It has been a long time coming now that Lorraine and I get with the modern age and with modern technology and actually get a blog, but nevertheless here we are.  We are excited about this blog for many reasons, but none more important than being able to keep everybody updated with what is going on with our lives, because trust me there are always lots of things.

For those of you who do not know, Lorraine and I are in Haiti serving as missionaries.  Pretty crazy I know!  This is not something we envisioned 6 months ago and yet even as I write this I am sitting in Port-de-Paix, Haiti.  Our task here is educate the Haitian people, both children and adults, in both regular studies and in the Bible.  Lorraine specifically is teaching English grammar and literature in an all-Haitian High School; total she has 6 different classes that she is teaching.  I am teaching three high school bible classes and four Bible College classes.  At the Bible College, I mostly teach adults, which definitely has both advantages and disadvantages.  We will be here in Haiti for about 3 and a half months, and then return to the States in June.

For now this blog will help keep everybody informed on our lives and our mission to Haiti.  Hopefully, either Lorraine or I will be able to update this blog several times a week, but certainly do not hold us to that.  We will do our best with the time we have.
