Updated Relief Work Stats …

Well our first phase of our displaced people relief work ended last week.  We would like to continue going full-steam, but unfortunately we just don’t have the time (with teaching full-time loads) or a location to make it work (since our school is being used for education most of the day). We are planning on doing a second phase, which will be scaled down a little bit, but still enough where we are helping a large number of people.  We know that what we have been doing is making a difference, because our maid specifically has had 4 people from Port-au-Prince living with her, and she is ever so thankful for the help that Sonlight has given.  Please contiue to pray for us! So far below is an updated account of the relief work that we have done.
We’ve given away:
9,100 lbs of rice,
2,300 lbs of beans,
1,700 bars of soap,
240 cans of milk,
$10,000 US in small bills.
1,500 people
